About Me - Jill Cassidy
I believe everyone needs a helping hand from time to time. It’s never a sign of weakness to need it, its always a sign of strength that you reach out and ask. I will work alongside you to help you regain your sense of self.
I specialise in working with Trauma and PTSD, however, not everyone needs or wants trauma processing work, and I am happy to work with what each client needs.
My training, which is in Adlerian psychology places the individual at the core, encouraging and supporting understanding of childhood logic and patterns of behaviour to enable progress and change in the present. Together we work on identifying the areas in which you are stuck or struggling to focus the session work on understanding what you need and how to get there.

I work in a structured way, beginning with an assessment of what you are struggling now an concluding with a plan for how to go forwards. We will decide together what that looks like, whether that's a short number of sessions or more prolonged processing work. My goal is to work with you to achieve the progress you're looking for.

I am experienced in working with emotional regulation techniques, including STAIR, and the trauma processing techniques CPT, IRRT, PE and Brainspotting - you can find more about these in the section "Trauma Processing Techniques".
